State lawmakers sifted through more than 700 bills during 119 days of fun under Colorado’s gold dome. Democrats heralded the session as one of the best since they took over in 2005. Gov. Bill Ritter praised lawmakers for passing bills that will benefit Coloradans for years to come. We weren’t as impressed, but we do think legislators turned in a credible performance in a heated election year. We offer this 2008 report card, with these comments: Needs improvement, and at least one legislator doesn’t play well with others.
