The Denver Office of Cultural Affairs is considering an online service that will offer half-price, last-minute tickets to area events.
The idea proved popular in a survey the office released Monday. More than 80 percent of the 814 residents who participated expressed a strong interest.
“Many things in the report confirmed things we know or suspected were true, but there were other things that surprised us,” said director Erin Trapp.
Among the “surprises”: 48 percent of respondents 65 and older said they prefer to watch performing-arts events on TV or online; and only 11 percent of respondents said they had attended a dance performance in the previous year.
The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation underwrote the survey.
