A 59-year-old woman who was hit with a brick and kidnapped Saturday remains in a Colorado Springs hospital today in fair condition, police said.
The woman was identified today as Garnett Wright of Colorado Springs.
Garnett was abducted from the parking lot of a Target store on Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard at midday Saturday.
She was shoved into her own car, hit with a brick, bound with tape and driven around town by her abductor for about two hours, police said.
Garnett managed to call 911 from the floor of her car and her Global Positioning System signal led police to her, where they arrested Timothy Clapp, 41, of Colorado Springs at about 1 p.m. Saturday.
Garnett told police she did not know the man who abducted her.
Clapp is charged with second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault and robbery.
