The Aurora Police Department released a composite sketch of a suspect believed to be involved in up to 10 armed robberies of Latino businesses in Aurora since March 11.
During the initial robberies from March 11 to 21, the bandits often wore “Jason” hockey masks to disguise themselves, according to Aurora police. In five other robberies, stretching from April 4 to Friday, the suspects used bandanas and wore hoodies to conceal their identities.
Police say the suspect has been described as Latino, 5-foot-10 to 6 foot tall, with a medium to heavy build, possibly in his 20s.
A second suspect is described as Latino, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, with a skinny to medium build, and in his 20s.
Officers believe there may be more people involved in the robberies. Investigators also believe the suspects may be associated with a newer model, silver mid-size four-door sedan.
The department is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information should contact Aurora Detective Rick Day at 303-739-1835.
