The Telluride Ski Resort this week announced the long-awaited expansion into Revelation Bowl for the 2008-09 winter season. Construction of a new Leitner-Poma quad chairlift will take place this summer, running 800 vertical feet from the base of Revelation Bowl to the Gold Hill ridge.

The new bowl sits at a northeast aspect accessible from the top of Telluride’s existing Gold Hill quad lift and the new Revelation quad. From the top of the Revelation lift, skiers will be able to choose ridgelines in either direction, offering steeper pitches and rock features on the far sides of the powder bowl.

The heart of the bowl offers an expanse of rolling, advanced terrain with a groomed path for cruising.
