Re: Del Frisco’s review, May 7
Let me start with saying I find you the most interesting and credible of the various food critics to be found in Denver. I like what you say and am glad you often needle the restaurants that need to be urged to improve.
That said, I must say the review about Del Frisco’s has left me somewhat out of sorts, so to speak. Probably I am in a state of mind due to various news stories and documentaries about the state of the world that I find such restaurants and their offerings nearly disgusting. Sounds harsh, but in the big picture eating a steak of such size and caloric intake, not to mention cost, is revolting.
YOU need to continue taking better care of yourself and avoid such caloric intake. I don’t think the health is on the mind of the purveyors of the food at Del Frisco’s. I can only imagine the waste that is left on the plates of the beautiful people who if they actually ate the food, would cease to look beautiful.
I won’t eat there in any case and would never have regardless of the review. The side dishes sound dreadful anyway.
So, Tucker, consider taking a look at or discussing with a dietitian a diabetic diet. Not because you have diabetes, but because the recommendations would be good for any person interested in healthy eating. Maybe you already know all this. I just like you and want you to be healthy regardless of your job and its requirements!
