Vicorp Restaurants Inc., the Denver-based operator of Village Inn and Bakers Square restaurants, received 45 blue-ribbon awards at the 2008 American Pie Council National Pie Championships for its pies. Vicorp, which filed for bankruptcy last month, received more blue-ribbon awards than any other commercial baker.

Whole Foods Market has rebranded the former Wild Oats location in Capitol Hill to Whole Foods, changing the exterior signage.

Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corp. of Boulder has begun assembly on three qualification test units for the Phalanx All-Light Marine TV camera program. Ball Aerospace will build three camera systems in 10 months under contract to Raytheon Co. ProLogis, a Denver-based distribution facility operator, and Kraft Foods announced that an 800,000-square-foot building near Chicago developed by ProLogis has been recognized for advanced environmental design by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Qwest announced that it has been honored as North American Partner of the Year by Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories Inc. Qwest was recognized for its strength in offering contact center solutions via network-hosted Genesys.
