Pinched between two highways, surrounded by megaresort development, the Eagle River ranks among the least-understood of Colorado’s major trout fisheries.
Jeff Lyon, a guide with Fly Fishing Outfitters in Avon, will help solve the riddles with a presentation to the Denver Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Tuesday at 7 p.m.
Lyon will discuss hatches and fly patterns for all four seasons, along with access advice for both floating and wading. The program will be at REI downtown, 1416 Platte St., 303-517-9197.
