Fort Collins police announced late this afternoon that 29-year-old Joseph Curl of Fort Collins has been arrested in the murder of Linnea Dick.
Curl was contacted by Fort Collins police around 2 p.m. and transported to the Fort Collins police station where he was interviewed.
Fort Collins police say that he went with them voluntarily when first contacted and was officially taken into custody at 4:15 p.m. after the interrogation.
Curl is presently being held for investigation of first-degree murder and sexual assault.
Dick was found dead when firefighters responded to her home on Friday to fight a house fire.
The coroner’s office said she had been strangled and sexually assaulted.
