A 37-year-old Minnesota man came to Denver to meet a 14-year-old girl in a Denver motel for sex, but he was arrested instead, according to Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey.
Charles Morris of St. Paul had been chatting online with an undercover police officer pretending to be a teenager.
He is in the Denver County Jail under $250,000 bond. He is charged with with Internet sexual exploitation of a child and Internet luring of a child, both felonies.
Prosecutors say Morris initiated sexually explicit conversations and sent pornographic images before arranging a meeting.
Sunday, Denver police set up a surveillance at a Denver hotel and arrested Morris. He will be in court Friday morning.
