RTD has added a public hearing at which transit users can comment on service changes proposed for August, including elimination of G Line light-rail service between Nine Mile and Lincoln stations. The additional meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the Red Lion Hotel, 3200 S. Parker Road in Aurora.

The Regional Transportation District said it is eliminating some under-used bus and rail service as part of an effort to save about $4 million a year. The agency said the G Line has very light ridership. If G service is eliminated, train riders who need to get between Nine Mile and Lincoln can do so by transferring among H, E and F lines, RTD said.
