Getting your player ready...

With players getting healthy, the Rockies’ roster adjustments continued today.

Pitcher Glendon Rusch was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs to start on Monday.

The move creates a roster space, which the Rockies used to activate reliever Luis Vizcaino.

The Rockies have been going with four starters because of off days, which pushed Rusch out of the rotation.

Rusch could still be called back later to start.

The Rockies will look to Vizcaino to provide late-inning depth in their bullpen.

Vizcaino has been out since the second game of the season with a shoulder injury.

He signed the richest free-agent relief contract in Rockies’ history this past winter (2 years, $7.5 million).

Another roster move looms on Tuesday when slugger Matt Holliday is scheduled to rejoin the club after testing his hamstring injury in Colorado Springs.
