U.S. marshals have arrested a 30-year-old man suspected in a 2007 Arvada homicide.

Richard “Ricky” Frank Regaldo was found at a home in Fontana, Calif., on Monday, and is being held in California on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of Shawn Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, 19, was discovered by his girlfriend and his sister at the Castlegate Apartments in the 7000 block of West 84th Way in Arvada in July 2007. He had been shot several times.

Arvada police spokeswoman Susan Medina said Regaldo was arrested under a sealed warrant, and she couldn’t discuss details of the case.

Thomas “Tommy” Anthony Garrison and Jeffrey Alan Wright were previously arrested in connection with the case. Garrison is awaiting trial, and Wright pleaded guilty and is in prison, Medina said.
