QUITO, Ecuador — Ecuadorean officials say at least three Colombians have been arrested in an alleged plot against President Rafael Correa.
Prosecutor Washington Pesantez says a preliminary investigation uncovered a plot by four Colombians to kill Ecuador’s leftist president. But Security Minister Gustavo Larrea says that only three of the suspects are Colombian and the fourth is Ecuadorean.
The men were arrested in Ecuador’s capital, Quito.
