Law enforcement officers arrested a woman who fled after crashing a sport utility vehicle into a Centennial home during a chase, authorities say.
Authorities continue to search for a male passenger who was riding in her 1999 Dodge Durango, said Master Trooper Ron Watkins, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.
The woman, Chalora Henni, 24, of Englewood was arrested at 3:18 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Washington Street and Arapahoe Road, Watkins said. Henni was treated at Littleton hospital after complaining of minor injuries as a result of the crash.
The chase began after a Colorado State Patrol trooper tried to stop the speeding Durango on U.S. 85 south of E470 earlier this afternoon.
The trooper briefly lost track of the suspect, who crashed into a home on South Clarkson Street near U.S. 85, Watkins said.
Investigators found what they think are items that were stolen inside the SUV, which has been confiscated for an investigation, Watkins said.
The Colorado State Patrol and Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies set up a perimeter around the neighborhood.
Deputies are also using two police dogs to track the suspect.
