BOULDER — A 55-year-old bicyclist died Saturday afternoon after he collided with a dump truck on U.S. 36 just north of Boulder.
The white 2003 Kenworth self-contained truck was traveling westbound on U.S. 36 when the bicyclist, Lafayette resident Michael McCutcheon, attempted to cross the highway at Broadway Street and struck the dump truck, according to the state patrol. He suffered serious injuries and later died at Boulder Community Hospital.
The truck driver, Kevin St. Germain, 45, of Thornton wasn’t injured.
