LINCOLN, Neb.—The Nebraska State Patrol seized nearly five pounds of cocaine and a handgun after stopping a speeding vehicle on Interstate 80 near Aurora.
A trooper stopped an eastbound vehicle with Colorado license plates on Thursday afternoon. The trooper noticed a handgun in the glove compartment.
A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of 4.8 pounds of cocaine.
The 21-year-old driver, who is from Aurora, Colorado, and a passenger, a 37-year-old from Littleton, Colorado, were arrested on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon and possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver.
