The half-size traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., is coming to Arvada this week.

“The Wall that Heals” arrives at Faith Bible Chapel at West 62nd Avenue and Ward Road on Thursday and will stay through Sunday.

The free exhibition is open 24 hours a day and features the 250-foot replica as well as an information center and a display of memorabilia left at the memorial on the National Mall in Washington.

“The City of Arvada is honored to have this exhibit in our community,” Arvada Mayor Bob Frie said in a news release. “I encourage people to take advantage of what will surely be a very moving experience.”

The exhibition is organized by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, the organization charged with preserving The Wall in Washington D.C.
