Groups who plan to come to Denver to protest abortion during the Democratic National Convention will hold prayer vigils and other rallies, their organizers said Wednesday.

Organizers of “A Prayer for Change,” which is sponsored by the Christian Defense Coalition, based in Washington, D.C., and the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, a youth training and activism organization based in Riverside, Calif., said they would hold a kickoff rally Aug. 22, the Friday before the convention.

From there, the protesters plan to pray at an undetermined clinic that provides abortions on Saturday morning. They’ll rally at Civic Center on Saturday, pray at the Pepsi Center on Saturday afternoon and hold a rally in downtown Denver on Saturday night at Skyline Park, the middle and north sections.
