The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission named Donald Hoerl to head its Denver office after promoting his predecessor to help run the agency’s enforcement unit.
Hoerl was appointed acting regional director of the Denver office, which conducts examinations of brokerage firms and investigates financial fraud in six Western U.S. states, the SEC said. He replaces George Curtis, who this month was named a deputy director of the agency’s enforcement division in Washington.
