Tiger, the god of golf. As Woods approaches the first tee in the next tournament, the golf announcers have gathered and genuflect in unison. And they would not be surprised to see him walk across the water hazard instead of going around.
Watch the TV coverage; their bias is obvious. Woods’ shot 25 feet from the hole, “What a great shot.” For others, “Oh, he’s left himself a tough putt.” Enough, already. Yes, he is a great golfer, but he doesn’t wear a cape. Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus were just as good, if not better.
