University of Colorado golfer Justin Bardgett beat Skip Berkmeyer to win the Missouri State Amateur Championship in O’Fallon, Mo.
Bardgett, from St. Louis, defeated Berkmeyer, 8 and 6, his lead alternating between five and six holes for a time until he won No. 11 with a par and No. 12 with birdie, sealing the win.
Bardgett was the No. 61 seed entering Sunday’s match play, while Berkmeyer was the No. 2 seed.

Joe Koshansky went 3-for-3, hitting a home run, a double and driving in three runs to lead the Colorado Springs Sky Sox to an 8-2 victory over Fresno in Colorado Springs on Sunday.
Franklin Morales improved to 5-2 while allowing two runs and striking out four in six innings.
