BROOMFIELD — Golf course officials say that a close encounter between scantily clad women and children participating in a tournament was the result of “mistiming” and that the strippers were not topless at a separate event.
But parents of the children participating in the Gold Crown Junior Golf Association tournament say they were not warned that strippers would be exiting limousines in plain view of the youngsters before they finished their game.
The women were part of Shotgun Willie’s Charity Golf Tournament.
The children ranged in age from 7 to 12.
A woman told 9News the event drew curious questions from her children, who asked her why the men joining the strippers had water guns and why the women wore white.
