Two Colorado Springs motorcycle officers were injured during training Tuesday — by the crash of lightning.
The two unidentified officers were recovering at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs after the lightning bolt struck nearby at 3:20 p.m., according to a police statement. One officer was in fair condition and the other was in good condition, the department reported.
The department’s motorcycle unit was training at Skyview Adult Sports Complex on Resnik Drive when the two officers were jolted in the parking lot.
