A cat that has been stuck in a Denver tree for nearly a week was rescued today.

A man who saw the item about the trapped feline in today’s paper — and who has access to a cherry-picker — volunteered to rescue the cat.

Matt Slaby, of 61 Newton St., could not find anyone to rescue this feral Siamese, which has been stuck about 55 feet above ground for more than five days.

The Fire Department says it’s too dangerous, tree companies charge a fee, and it’s too high for neighbors to climb.
