About 3,000 cyclists are powering 75 miles from Westminster to Fort Collins and back again this weekend to raise money for the fight against multiple sclerosis.

The Great-West Life Bike MS is expected to raise $2.9 million for programs that will help 70,000 Colorado residents who suffer from multiple sclerosis.

The first wave of cyclists left Front Range Community College at 6 a.m. Saturday. The riders pedaled to Colorado State University, where they were to listen to live music and stay overnight. Today, they’ll ride back to Westminster.
