WESTCLIFFE — The Custer County coroner says a hiker has died after falling about 100 feet near the summit of a fourteener in the Sangre de Cristo range.
Forty-nine-year-old Linda M. Pryor — described by an acquaintance as an experienced climber — died Saturday morning near the top of the 14,197-foot Crestone Needle, Custer County Coroner Art Nordyke told The Gazette in Colorado Springs.
