CASTLE ROCK, Colo.—Authorities in Douglas County are looking for two suspects who fired at sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies tried to stop the men early Saturday after getting a report of a burglary in a Castle Rock subdivision. The sheriff’s office said the suspects fled in their vehicle and shot at deputies, hitting their cars.
One deputy suffered injuries to his arm and was treated and then released from a hospital.
The suspects left their car and ran into a wooded area. Authorities say 2,400 automated phone calls were made to phones of residents within three miles to warn of armed suspects at large.
Investigators believe the suspects are the same suspects who committed an armed robbery in Castle Rock at a convenience store June 11.
