A 25-year-old man was arrested in Loveland for allegedly shooting his 42-year-old father during an argument Saturday night.
Joseph Valek, 42, is in intensive care after surgery at Medical Center of the Rockies and “the prognosis is good,” Loveland police said Sunday.
Joshua Valek, 25, is being held on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.
Police were called to the 300 block of North Lincoln Avenue about 11:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting. Officers found Joseph Valek on the floor bleeding. His wife and their son, Joshua, were both there.
Details of what led to the argument were not released Sunday.
