ST. LOUIS — Attorneys for Anheuser-Busch are going to court to fight a shareholder lawsuit involving a proposed takeover by brewer InBev.

The lawsuit was filed by the New Jersey Carpenters Annuity and Pension Funds. It claims Anheuser-Busch’s board has hurt shareholders by rejecting InBev’s unsolicited $46 billion purchase offer. Anheuser- Busch attorneys argued in court Wednesday that the case should be decided in Delaware, where the company is incorporated.

Nine lawsuits have already been filed there alleging the same points. The Associated Press; AP file photo
