LINCOLN, Neb.—A 40-year-old Colorado man has died a day after falling 25 feet from the roof of a Wal-Mart under construction on North 84th Street.

Lincoln police say Delfonso Bahana fell from a ladder about 9:45 a.m. Monday. Initially, he was conscious, alert and talking, complaining of back pain.

But police say the fall led to internal injuries. Doctors discovered his spleen and liver had been cut and he had internal bleeding.

He died early Tuesday morning. Bahana was an employee of Superior Roofing of Aurora, Colo.
