PITTSBURGH — The Penguins on Thursday signed veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury to a seven-year, $35 million contract, the third long-term deal inked with one of their younger players in two days.
“He is extremely gratified to be part of the Penguins’ core going forward,” Fleury’s agent, Allan Walsh, said.
Rangers sign Naslund.
Longtime Canucks captain Markus Naslund agreed to terms with the Rangers on a two-year deal.
Naslund, who scored 25 goals and added 30 assists last season, leaves Vancouver after 12 seasons — including eight as captain.
Blake, Sharks strike deal.
Defenseman Rob Blake signed a one-year deal worth $5 million with the Sharks.
Wild, Miettinen reach deal.
The Wild signed winger Antti Miettinen to a three-year deal.
Miettinen scored 15 goals in 69 games last season for the Stars.
Mannino signs.
Former University of Denver goaltender Peter Mannino signed a one-year, free-agent contract with the Islanders.
Habs sign Laraque.
Forward Georges Laraque signed a three-year, $4.5 million contract with the Canadiens.
Stastny signs.
Forward Yan Stastny signed a two-year contract to stay with the Blues.
