MOUNT CRESTED BUTTE, Colo.—Authorities say a 31-year-old Iowa man drowned this week while riding his all-terrain vehicle.
Mount Crested Butte Police Chief Hank Smith says Zachariah McClellan’s body was recovered from a river Wednesday, one day after his ATV became submerged in water. The drowning happened in Brush Creek near Mount Crested Butte, about 230 miles southwest from Denver.
Smith says McClellan was visiting from Cherokee, Iowa and was in town with two brothers and a friend.
