GRAND JUNCTION — A trust fund holding federal royalties from drilling on part of the Roan Plateau now has more than $101 million.

The fund grew by nearly $6 million in May and more than $4.5 million in June, according to federal records.

But the state won’t receive its half until cleanup work on an old oil shale research site near Rifle is fully funded and certified. The federal government and state split the royalties.
