Firefighters are investigating a blaze that started between two Aurora homes yesterday and severely damaged the inside of one of the homes, authorities say.

The fire caused about $200,000 in damage to the two homes at 1563 and 1573 S. Dearborn St., said Capt. Mark Turley of the Aurora Fire Department.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the fire but say it started someone between the two homes.

Firefighters arrived at the homes at 10:40 a.m. Everyone was safely evacuated without injury, Turley said.

Residents of the home at 1573 S. Dearborn were allowed to stay in their home last night because the fire damage was limited to the outside of the home, he said.
