ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK — Rocky Mountain National Park officials say three people suffered minor burns Tuesday after lightning struck the ground near the group.

Two men and a woman, all from Houston, were thrown to the ground after the strike near Mills Lake about 12:20 p.m.

Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said a 46-year-old man and 52-year- old man were burned on their feet. The woman, the wife of the 46-year- old, was burned on her arm.
