LONGMONT — A 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested today on multiple rape and assault charges involving a mentally challenged teenage girl in Longmont on Monday.

Police did not disclose the age of the girl. She reported being assaulted on Tuesday, after receiving medical treatment for multiple injuries.

Authorities did not identify the boys because they are minors.

One of them was arrested as he drove away from his home in Longmont Wednesday. The other boy was arrested at a traffic stop in Mead, police said.

Both were booked into the Boulder County Juvenile Detention Center on felony charges of sexual assault, false imprisonment, menacing, assault, unlawful sexual contact and wrongs to an at-risk juvenile.
