Bright, sunny skies will give metro residents clear views of the foothills and Rocky Mountains today.

Winds will blow gently from the north-northwest, and temperatures will continue to climb. The National Weather Service predicts a high near 95 degrees.

Tonight will remain mostly clear, as winds shift to the south. The overnight low will dip to 65 degrees, according to the weather service.

Expect sunshine and light winds Friday, with temperatures topping out again near 95, but keep an extra blanket handy overnight. Mostly clear night skies will bring a low of 54 degrees, the weather service reports.

If you’re planning to be outdoors this weekend, you can look forward to a cool, dry Saturday with a high in the low 80s. Pack an umbrella if you go out Sunday. The weather service forecasts mostly cloudy skies and a 20 percent chance of rain after noon.

A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms is forecast for the start of next week, the weather service says, so enjoy the sunny skies while they last.
