DENVER—McGraw-Hill Broadcasting has named Byron F. Grandy station manager of Denver television station KMGH and its Spanish-language Azteca America affiliates in Denver and Colorado Springs.

Grandy will be responsible for the strategy and day-to-day editorial and business operations of KMGH, Azteca America Colorado and the station’s digital properties.

The 47-year-old joined McGraw-Hill Broadcasting as news director of KMGH in December 2000.

He previously was a news director at KMOL-TV in San Antonio and WAGT-TV in Augusta, Ga., and worked as a reporter and anchor in Milwaukee, Dallas and Bryan, Texas.

Grandy also served as director of news and talent development for The Broadcast Image Group, a broadcast consulting firm.
