CHICAGO — A Chicago-area commercial-real-estate group has made an offer to buy Wrigley Field, the iconic and historic home of the Chicago Cubs, according to a report Thursday. The Chicago Sun-Times website reported that Inland Real Estate Group of Companies submitted the offer to Tribune Co., which is selling the ballpark and baseball team.

An Inland spokesman would not confirm or deny the report, and Cubs chairman Crane Kenney did not immediately respond to an e-mail seeking comment.

Tribune has received about 30 bids for the team, the stadium or both, the Sun-Times said.

In June, Tribune said baseball had approved nine potential buyers for the team and park.
