Seven Colorado prep products have signed to run track and cross country for the University of Colorado.

Coach Mark Wetmore, who saw five current or former runners recently named to the Olympic team, announced 15 signings today — 11 men, four women.

Among them were:

Jonathan Stevens, Battle Mountain

Matthew Biegner, Broomfield

Joe Bosshard, Crested Butte Academy

Stephen Kasica, Fruita Monument

Martin Medina, Grand Juntion

Emma Coburn, Crested Butte Academy

Kaylen Slack, Liberty

“This is a very big men’s class and a relatively small women’s class,” Wetmore said. “We’re excited about both sides, though. On the men’s side there are some unheralded people that we think will develop into excellent collegiate runners. And on the women’s side we think there are people that will step in and have an impact for us immediately.”
