The Colorado Department of Health today told the people living in Elizabeth to boil their water before consuming.
The Water Boil Order comes as a result of a water line break that happened Tuesday. Although no contamination has been found in the water supply, the precautionary order will be in effect until further notice.
Residents of Elizabeth should boil all water for drinking, use in cooking, washing fruit and vegetables, making ice, manually washing dishes and utensils and brushing teeth.
According to the order, bathing and showering should not be a problem unless the person has a compromised immune system. In this case it is recommended that a quarter cup of bleach be added to bath water.
Results of testing on the water supply should be available by Monday. Residents of Elizabeth are encouraged to check the website at .
