FBI agents are searching for evidence that would tie a suspected serial killer to the murders and disappearances of several people, a family member of one of the alleged victims says.

Federal agents are searching for enough evidence to charge Scott Kimball, a convict with a lengthy history of financial crimes, in the death of Kaysi McLeod and the disappearance of Jennifer Marcum, Leann Emry and Kimball’s 60-year-old uncle, Terry Kimball, said Marcum’s father, Robert.

“They said they were going to do searches around property that he used to own,” Robert Marcum said today. “They are trying to get enough evidence to try him for murder.”

The investigators are searching for evidence today in a neighborhood near 146th Avenue and Huron Street in Adams County, according to a 9News report.

A hunter found bones last September in deep snow in Jackson County, and DNA taken from them matched that of McLeod, who was reported missing in August 2003.

A second search by FBI agents earlier this month turned up more human remains and evidence, an FBI spokeswoman has said.

“This guy definitely needs to be caught, or he’ll be back on the street,” Marcum said.

Kimball has not been charged with murder. He is being held on other charges.
