An autopsy showed that a man died of stab wounds to the chest and back outside a Denver restaurant early Thursday, officials say.
Jesse Pejko, 22, of Denver was pronounced dead early Thursday morning at Denver Health Medical Center, according to a news release by Michelle Weiss-Samaras, Denver’s chief medical coroner.
Michael Cecil, 30, a bartender at Mezcal, in the 3200 block of East Colfax Avenue, is being held for investigation of murder in the stabbing, according to Denver police.
The stabbing happened just before 2 a.m. in a parking lot near the restaurant.
