GENOA — A young couple was killed and their 9-month-old boy was injured after all three were ejected from their car when it rolled twice Saturday night, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The accident happened on Interstate 70 in Genoa when the driver, 21-year-old Travis B. Carroll, lost control of his Chevrolet Venture and struck the median, going airborne, the State Patrol said. Carroll and passenger Heather L. Carroll, 19, died at the scene. Both were not wearing seat belts.
The couple’s baby, Travis B. Carroll Jr., suffered moderate injuries and was flown to Denver Health Medical Center, along with his grandfather 66-year-old Gary Wilson, who was wearing a seat belt.
Trooper Gilbert Mares said the family was from Wichita. The Associated Press
