Protect Colorado’s Future expects to file signatures today for a ballot initiative that seeks to hold executives more accountable for corporate wrongdoings.

The group said Monday it plans to file signatures this week for a second ballot initiative that seeks to require businesses to give reasons for firing workers.

Also, the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 plans to submit its signatures for a pair of initiatives Wed nesday. The UFCW measures would mandate companies with 20 or more employees to provide health-care coverage and allow injured workers to sue employers outside of the workers’ compensation system. About 76,000 certified signatures are required for each initiative to appear on the November ballot.
