All lanes of northbound Parker Road were reopened this afternoon near East Belleview Avenue after being shut for repairs.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said the roadbed had heaved because of extreme heat. The right and left lanes of Parker Road had risen about 10 inches.
On this stretch of roadway, concrete had been “white-topped” over asphalt.
CDOT removed six concrete panels to replace them with asphalt, the highway department said.
