The Colorado Division of Wildlife will make leftover licenses for deer, elk, pronghorn and turkey available at 9 a.m. Aug. 12. These tags may be obtained at all DOW offices, at license agents, by calling the 800-244-5613 phone line or by mail order form. Licenses will be available online through the total license system beginning Aug. 13. Military preference will be available for leftover licenses.

Hunters now have two free resource guides to help select areas that might predict a greater prospect for success. These brochures, one for northwest Colorado and the other for the southwest, provide herd information, harvest percentages and special advisories aimed at facilitating successful hunting opportunity. They’re available at all Division of Wildlife offices.
