Charles Dean has been charged by indictment with one count of first-degree murder in the death of a 45-year-old man in 2004.

According to Denver District Attorney’s Office statement, Dean was friends with Timothy Ware, who was found dead in October 2004. Dean, 49, killed Ware in his home at 3350 Krameria St., disposed the body, and then he set the house on fire, according to the statement.

The indictment was issued July 23, and Dean was arrested Friday. He will be arraigned Aug. 7 in Denver District Courtroom 11.
