Republican presidential candidate John McCain on Wednesday will discuss his plans to help small businesses with employees at an Aurora company that specializes in Caterpillar heavy equipment.
McCain lands in Denver this evening and is scheduled to attend a private, high-end fundraiser at multimillionaire investor Charlie Gallagher’s home in Englewood.
At another private event on Wednesday morning, McCain will talk to workers at Wagner Equipment Co. about tax cuts for small businesses and ways to conserve energy, his campaign said. At Wagner, which sells and rents Cat machines used in heavy construction, mining and waste handling, McCain will discuss retrofitting old engines in order to cut pollution and energy costs. The event is not open to the public.
This will be McCain’s second visit to Colorado in the past five days. On Friday, he spoke to Latino veterans in Denver.
